Si Albert Gryszczuk n’a pas réussit à faire affaire avec les Allemands du Dresden Breslau, il ne manque pas d’idée et lance sa grande évasion. Une course folle sur le gigantesque terrain militaire de Zagan que le habitués du fameux Breslau connaissent par coeur...Ou presque lorsqu’il ne s’y perdent pas. Les 27-28 et 29 Mars 2009, les engagés s’élanceront par équipe de deux véhicules pour 350 à 400 Km de folie en souvenir d’un certain mois de Mars 1944... Rappelez vous de Steve Mac Queen et vous aurez tous compris! Du Canon ball de l’Est...
Engagements: 250 à 300 €/ véhicule en course, 150€ pour l”assistance.

OFF ROAD WASN’T EVER CONNECTED WITH THE HISTORY SO CLOSE,AND THE HISTORY WASN’T SO CLOSE TO OFF ROAD
When 65 years ago, in march 1944, prisoners of Stalag Luft III camp decided to escape through a 111-meter tunnel, it seemed to be unbelievable. They were young and brave. Risking their own life and life of their friends, they became heroes.76 people out of 200 who had been prepared to escape managed to flee. Only three of them escaped. The remaining 73 were caught in different places of the III Reich. At Hitler's command, Gestapo killed fifty prisoners.
They were citizens of great Britain, Canada, RPA, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Lithuania, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Czech Republic, Greece and Poland. In the camp, they were united for one goal: tunnel to freedom. Due to a heroic effort of hundreds of prisoners and their great cooperation, they simultaneously made three tunnels: Tom, Harry and Dick.
The greatest escape in the history of the II world war happened at night on march 24/25, 1944.
Participants of the great escape were running away in pairs…
Each participant of the great escape rally stands a chance of paying tribute of the event by taking part in the rally. On the occasion of the great escape anniversary, the rally is organized for the first time. Everyone is able to be put down in its history. It is also unique that the rally routes cross historic routes of the escape of prisoners – heroes.
The rally will take place on the army area in Żagań and Świętoszów (27-29.03.2009).
We think that route will be about 350-400km. Route will have high-speed character and it doesn’t mean that it will be easy.
Diversity of basis on army area and navigation difficulties will be perfect warming up before forthcoming season.
